A Danish eco hotel has come up with an interesting scheme to encourage hotel guests to create renewable energy to run the hotel. Guests who cycle on stationary bicycles for roughly 15 minutes- creating 10 watts of energy for the hotel- will receive a €26 meal voucher to use at the hotel restaurant. That’s a pretty good return for 15 minutes of work!
Hotel managers are confident that guests will not exploit the system, but I’m not too sure. The scheme is set to run for one year, so enjoy it while it lasts!
